I wouldn't drop $500+ on anything that I would need to convinced over. Especially something as transitory as cell phone tech. Even best case scenario, you're talking a handful of years and maybe as short as 6-9 months before the next big thing is out.

Has nothing to do with it being a nam version or user agent i don't think. The new nokia email is just screwy and there's a trick to installing it. I installed it on my 5800 nam but don't use it. Symbian guru has a tutorial for installing it i think.

Exactly. No mobile phone should cost more than a netbook. From now on, I'll have a hard time spending more than $400 on a phone when I know I could easily keep my do-it-all N82 and get a Samsung NC10 with that money.
