Yes - it seems for me the trade-off is screen v. stability (and price). I suspect I'd have an easier time getting used to the screen than random crashes. An E72 with a bit more ram would be ideal, which is too bad considering the cost of 128mb of ram.

It looks like we are going a bit like in a circle here. It doesn't work just with QR codes, it works with Data Matrix codes as well (both are 2D matrix codes). QR became very popular online, but data matrix has been around for a few years and is on some electronics equipment, components etc...
