    Why do I keep having hot flashes?

    I'm 16 years old and I keep getting them! All of a sudden I will get really hot, sweaty, and my breathing becomes heavier and I have to fan myself to cool off. I don't remember if I got a period this month...I think I did but I just don't know. What else could be the reason?
