Well your gear ratio is going to be the key in your question.Most stock 300's will pull a house over and still wrap the RPMs you can get from a v8.Since this one is built then you'll probably be getting a good deal.The 300 is a very tough engine and will out last most engines out there.
It really depends on what the setup is in the truck,like a 5 speed or automatic transmission.It also depends on how many horses you want to haul at one time but my grandpa has a 1995 F-150 and he hauls cows all the time with it and has no problems.
