Well your gear ratio is going to be the key in your question.Most stock 300's will pull a house over and still wrap the RPMs you can get from a v8.Since this one is built then you'll probably be getting a good deal.The 300 is a very tough engine and will out last most engines out there.

It really depends on what the setup is in the truck,like a 5 speed or automatic transmission.It also depends on how many horses you want to haul at one time but my grandpa has a 1995 F-150 and he hauls cows all the time with it and has no problems.

Well after awhile it will start running like crap,missing firing,loss of oil pressure,loss of power,loss of RPMs and yes after awhile of this it could start getting harder to start and lead to not starting at all.
