I use non ethanol gas in my truck, and notice I get 50 more miles to the tank, and the exhaust doesn't seem to smell any worse. But on tv last night they were saying that the ethanol blends get better mileage and burn clean. Is this only true for new cars, or do I just have a strange truck.

sounds like a wheel bearing, for this car you can get a rear wheel bearing for around $100 at the auto parts store.

did you check the fuses, I know on some of the older cadillacs the load lever fuse would go out. There is a compressor that keeps it level, when that isn't operating the car will sit low and bottom out.

stick a 3.4 pontiac engine in there, or a 3.8 out of a buick. Those engines were more common, and can take lots of abuse.
