Noope. I have yet to fall asleep with my Kindle in my hands. I usually read while lying on my side, anyway, so if the Kindle did fall it wouldn't be able to hit me in the face.

Along with the other answers, it's always best to make sure you're physically okay before going off to boot. So working out a few times each week would definitely be beneficial (more would be best but if you can't, that's fine).

You won't be together at all during basic training.
Afterwards, as the others have said, your husband and you will possibly be located within 50 miles of one another, although it is not a guarantee by the military.
I had this question, also.
I called my recruiter and asked if I should just wait to open one at basic and he said yeah, that in the long run it's better.
So I won't be opening one until I get to basic. S:
