I flashed it myself, many times, to attempt fixing it. The dvd drive was working off and on as a regular cd-rom drive (using a different firmware), but I want it to burn dvds again. The firmware updater on the official support site does not help me.

PS2. The DS version looks horrible, and I imagine it would be harder to control the characters. The only thing the DS version has going for it is portability.
