because nokia no longer is a high end phone manufacturer, today they are a low to mid range (being generous here) phone manufacturer

    *OFFICIAL THREAD: Nokia N97

I don't. I meant more along the lines of you drive to the border to get the phones, then drive to Toronto and drop off mine.

No more talks of Symbian^4 as Symbian will be upgradable

Uh, you were saying? http://www.theregister.co.uk/2010/10/22/symbian_wound_down/ And if Nokia doesn't intend to update the OS itself, aside from UI improvements, isn't it essentially 'dead'? Let's face it, Elop put a bullet into the back of Symbian's head, like a Tony Soprano whack.

    *OFFICIAL THREAD: Nokia N97

More stuff going on in the background. From what we've seen so far, at the very least, the widget home screen is eating up more resources, but there very well could be other things. Regarding the past few bits of conversation, I sincerely hope Nokia is taking their time with this device. I was...

Who misses the 5 part pilots?

"The Epic Begins", or at least that was the name given to the spliced VHS/Laserdisc "movie" release. The actual 5 part pilot for TMNT 87 didn't have an overarcing title other than "Season One". I do feel that action show openers these days work best if they have 2 or 3 parts to set up the...

Toonzone Community Top 25 Cartoons of the 2000s

It just shows that most complainers were all talk. Having to listen to everyone whine about our Top 25, I find this hilarious.

Should they make a new archie cartoon

Yes, I'd like to see a new Archie cartoon (that didn't have them chasing monsters *or* being junior high schoolers in tacky 80s clothes). Though I think Archie would also work as a live-action sitcom, given it's got everything Nick/Disney sitcoms would go for: a love triangle; a goofy best...

    help with a school assignment

A couple things jump to my mind right away: It would be good, I think, to specify the 80's and 90's as the golden age of animation ON TV, and you better have good examples to back that up. The golden age of animation in general would probably be in the 30's and 40's, with Disney and such...

    Family Guy - "Brian's Got A Brand New Bag" - Talkback [11/8]

The only thing that really bothered me about this episode was the fact that Peter and Lois were making fun of Brian for dating a fifty-year old woman when they, themselves, are in their mid to late 40s.

Jackie Chan Adventures Available Legally on Youtube.com

Possible that someone else has the online distribution rights. they were probably packaged in with the television and home video distribution rights back in the days --

    Open ended finales in animation.

Masters of the Universe 2K version ended with a cliffhanger, with the Masters defeating the Snake Men. The third season could introduced Hordak and the Horde and maybe She-Ra. But that isn't going to happen.

7 Awesome Villains Who Lost to Silly Heroes (Warning: Adult Content)

:p The Gummi Bears still had an awesome theme song, so they're still cool in my book. :p Man though, all that reminds me is how dumb it is to have an antagonist when the show itself is so sweet (Looking at you Little Pony) that you can taste the diabetes.

For Avatar fans: Where does Avatar rank in your list of top American action toons?

Top of the list. My other favs are Samurai Jack, Star Wars: Clone Wars, Danny Phantom, and American Dragon: Jake Long.

    New App if we can Spare a Minute . . . .

If we can all take a breather from the LifeDrive "spin" (Personally I think it's basically a Tungsten E with boosted clockspeed and a huge thick SD Card epoxied to the back of it that won't survive a hard reset) . . . . there's a cool new app for time management a few of us could use...
