somewhere on my yamaha 2 stroke 50 hp is a plug with 10 pins. what is meant to connect to this ? what do I need ? also I cant find any leads for the battery, do they attach to this somehow ?

today i replaced the cord on my outboard, this went well,however when I re mounted the starter unit, the little plastic clutch dog wont stay in place. If I pull the cord the starter just spins arounds without turning the flywheel. the engine isnt seized and everything else works. what can I do ?

last week it was working fine , yesterday I replaced the pull cord. And now it wont start. The most I can get out of it is a bang, a small explosion and a tiny amount of exhaust fumes. Then it dies. whats going on here ? too much oil ? too lean mixture ? I have taken out the spark plugs and...
