    After the switchover, will tv ariels be needed?

    I'm getting a flat-screen tv for be bedroom and was going to get the ariel split but a friend told me i wouldn't need one because after the switchover, Ariel's won't have a use. is this true?? Oops, sorry should have stated i live in Manchester, England, UK
