If I download IPSW5.0.1 from itunes (by updating), then can I jailbreak it with redsn0w? itunes actually downloads the IPSW when we click update software. While jailbreaking, can I use that IPSW for redsn0w?

I have a Panasonic HDC HS60 video camera. By default the video recording resolution is 1920x1024. As my laptop does not support this high resolution I want to set the recording resolution to 1280x720. But I cannot find this setting. Can anyone help me about this??
