i need some help choosing the appropriate lens for an indoor photography event at night. the event is going to be in a hall so i cannot bounce flash. i have the choice between the canon 18-55mm 3.5-5.6 and 50mm 1.8. the obvious choice would be the 50mm, but i might have to take group pictures...
