On my new samsung 1080p 40in LED TV everything is supposed to run in 120 hz but wen I press da info button it says it's running at 60hz can sum1 tell me why dat is and if I can make everything run in 120hz

I just tried out game mode while plyn ps3 (on my new samsung 40in 1080p LED TV) and besides da color being easier on da eyes I didn't see a difference if sum1 could explain da benefit of this mode dat would be great cuz I don't see a difference
