hi i have a suzuki lt230 quadsport and i just recenly cleaned the carb and i adjusted the float height and stuff bit it dumped so much fuel when it started the when it backfired there were flames and sparks so does anyone have ideas because a carb kit is out it the question right now thanks

I have a suzuki lt230 quadsport and the choke is like rotted into the carb I have been trying to loosen it but won't work if anyone has ideas please let me know Thanks
