Are you sure you know what your effective tax rate is? Personally, mine varies around 5 to 7 percent. Seems fair enough. Usually they are talking about all the different taxes they pay corabined. Self employed people see 15% go to payroll tax plus state taxes, and you might even include sales...

Last I saw was 20% are on food stamps. Actually the stats make sense, most babies are born to the young, the young are unemployed in much higher nurabers than anyone else in this recession, especially if they are minorities. And ironic? The welfare and food stamps are good enough aid that 40%...
