What's up with that? The spindle that holds the DVD in place is almost an inch long! Enviromental concerns aside, the games simply take up too much space and cost more to ship! GRR! Anyone know why they haven't changed this bulky format yet?

Offhand, I know of none, except being more careful with the games in the first place. If things are really bad, for a few bucks, a place like BlockBuster will give them a cleaning for you.
