What do you prefer?

Sometimes I see people carrying hiking packs to school. I need a new pack, and was thinking of getting one that has snowboard straps.

I like rocks and minerals, but I don't want to be surrounded by a bunch of guys(I'm a girl) who breath and sleep rocks. So if I were to get my bachelors what major would give more opportunity for careers? Thanks
