When you say round male plug, are talking about something like say a headphone type plug or an RCA plug. The RCA plug is typically used to plug in components to an amp such as a CD player. Either one of those can be bought at radio shack. Or are we talking some other kind of round plug?

I like Sony for home entertainment products, Dell for PC's, Viking for kitchen appliances, Maytag for washers and dryers. It all depends on the product.

Where do you have the DVD connected? Look for a video input. Maybe below channel 2 or if there is a input selector try changing it.
