    Why is my photos on my nikon d90 grainy?

    Check your ISO setting - that's the main cause of 'graininess' or noise in the digital image. On checking the EXIF data on your recent shots, its set to 6400 - rather high. Your earlier shots (sky for example) is only ISO 800 - much less noise at this level.
