well, he's not going to live in the yard 24/7/365, right? all dogs enjoy outdoor fun. you just need to go out there and play with him. don't forget to take the dog for a good daily walk and a little training session, though- a little exercise and obedience drill goes a REALLY long way!

see, i was always taught to reduce reduce reduce... provided you have water, sustenance, and a first aid kit, there is little else you'll need. 5 lbs on a 70 lb isn't bad, if he's been conditioned for it. just don't forget your cell phone!!!
