If your referring to a recovery file if you have one this will be on a seperate partition of your hardrive. See the link below that should help. If there is no recovery partition contact acer to see if they will give you a replacement disc, though they may charge for that.

Try this link for more info and help, if thats no good, be more specific in the problems your having, for example do you get any error codes. You could use another burning program, plenty of free ones out there.

It is safe, but why dont you try vlc player instead plays anything. I have included a fix for wmp and also a link for free codecs. Hope this helps

What file format is it? normal exe setup file or rar, zip, iso? if this is not the problem take a look at the links below.
