    The ISP is free to assign new IP addresses whenever they want. Yours probably has a very limited range available, so they expire them quickly. Why is it a nuisance? Use DynDNS if you need to connect remotely.

    Just connect an Ethernet cable between them. You may or may not need a crossover cable.
