i don't know how strict your tutors are but mine check these sort of websites to see if students are asking for this kind of advice. you can get zero marks for plagiarism for asking this if they see it. i'm not trying to be rude or anything! just to warn you!

prose is generally writing like everyday speech (novels etc) yes, you could count travel writing or any sort of journalism. poetry is more formally structured with meter and rhythm etc. that was a very generalised answer but i hope it helps.
