Dolby Pro Logic, of whatever version, is only a reproduction (playback) decoding algorithm. It is used to decode Dolby Surround - encoded material. Because of the way it works, it can also produce desirable pseudo-surround effects from some stereo sources. Wikipeida has some useful info on this.

You have to get the code from the manual for the remote, not the device you want to control. The remote won't control any item that is not listed in its manual.
