hows the touch screen on the torch??

im planning on getting the lg eve from rogers(its the only good phone within my price range, so yea) and i did some research on it, and found out that you cant update the android on it(which is 1.5, current one is 2.0+) so should i still get it or is there a way to fix the problem

ive been trying for a while now and i couldnt find a proper tutorial on how to flash it. i have a benq drive (i identifyed it by looking at the wires and they were white and i saw a pic of it.) my friend has a sata cord cable and he let me borrow it so can you give me a tutorial (with downloads)...
