will if its sick u should buy those medicine for betta i bought one and it work. But if ur fish is hurt then thats to bad. Its best if u leave it in the tank and let it die because if u flush it, it mught survive in the sewers, if u knife it it will feel pain and if u burn it , will feel pain...

yea they do because when u turn off all the lights right then u turn it back on then the fish will be on the ground sitting still and then wakes up like wtf turn off the light haha but yea, u can try something like turn off all the light then get a flash light and look at it but u might wake it up.
