What would cause the engine in a toyota 4runner to stutter?
Its a1989 Toyota 4Runner SR5 Petrol 4 cylinder. Manual transmission. It also reduces power to the car when I attempt to accelerate. -

Does a couple of holes in the muffler cause the engine in a toyota 4runner to stutter?
its 2.4L petrol SR5 with a manual transmission. when the car is at higher revs it doesn't seem to do it. It also appears to reduce the power out put when I try to accelerate. but after a while it doesn't really effect the cars operation at all. I am leaning towards a muffler replacement.... so...
