Does the extended battery from the HTC Touch Pro 2 I have, be compatible and function properly with the HTC Hero?

My HTC Touch Diamond is acting really weird. I have 3 batterys for the phone and two chargers. Yet everytime I plug one of the two Chargers (AC Outlet) my phone says its charging, but the battery itself won't charge and it stays at 1 bar out 10? What is the problem: Phone, Battery, Charger or 2...
