    Is UNLOCKED and FLASHED the same thing when referring to a cell phone?

    Ive been looking to buy me a phone off of craigslist for cricket service and seen some adds that said the phone to be unlocked and others flashed, does it mean the same thing? what about phones with goos ESN or bad ESN? what does that mean?
