    what format is needed for my external hard drive to play movies through media play?

    I've got media player connected to my HD tv and i wanna use my external hard drive on it for movies. What format should my external hard drive be NTFS or FAT32 or it don't matter? I just reformated it couse it I used it on my imac and it was formated for mac now i reformated it to FAT32.
