Why not just ignore it? Does the law force you to get it fixed?

Last summer I pulled my hamstring pretty bad b/w grade 1 and 2. Since then I guess i never gave it adequate time to heal because I normally have dance every friday and stretch there. So since then my hamstring gets very stiff if i'm sitting still for awhile (like long car rides), it also hurts...

My friend almost has his right split and every time he kicks, grande batma', he struggles to kick higher than 90 degrees. Why is this? He has been dancing for 3 years but shouldn't his kicks be higher if he almost has his split. I almost have my splits aswell but I can kick to my head, well...
