Basically, I have poor control of my fingers and I can't handle any small objects with them. I've done cross-stitching, but while it's somewhat helpful it's not exactly what I'm looking for since I only have to use my right thumb and my right index finger.

I like green, so I would use neon green. You could also paint the two black walls in strips, using masking tape to mark off the lines, and alternate various neon colors - green, yellow, and pink. The other two colors do in your favorite neon color.
