I'm currently taking Calculus in my senior year of high school and I was wondering if it is useful towards Economics? I ask this because I am considering majoring in Econ when I get to Uni. Please explain if it's necessary for Econ. Is it necessary to obtain a PhD in Econ?

This year I quit hockey because of a lack of interest and I've been wanting to start doing a new sport. I don't want to do the traditional sports like soccer or basketball but rather an exotic one. Any suggestions? I was thinking bobsledding would be fun.
