    is there any way to get more mpg on a 1997 chevy silverado z71?

    I get about 17mi/gal with a 96 Z71, does it seem to run fine but shy on higher RPM power, check for plugged catalic convertor,or muffler. The power loss might not be very noticable, if at all under normal driving conditions(below 3200 RPM) I've seen these trucks mufflers plug off when the guts...
