    Absolutely not. There is a possibility if it is a dirt jumper, all you have to do is make it a singlespeed (if it isn't already) and put a BMX fork on it. Other than that, no don't even attempt it just buy a BMX bike

    nope, their not absolutely necessary, you sound like your getting to be a pretty passionate rider though so I would recommend them. They have vents for when you get really hot and pads in the crotch area for comfort.
