    Beach camping spots in southern/central california?

    I live in LA and I wanted to go camping at the beach for my 17th, but i don't know of any good places where you dont have to reserve six months ahead (Carpenteria) b/c my birthday is July 18th. I would go as far north as Jalama and as far south as Huntington. Thank you
