i preferred the 2% bha liquid. lotions tend to clog my pores and gels are too sticky.

for me, spiro helped only with cystic acne. i rarely ever get cysts anymore (in my 6th month of spiro) but i still get small ones and the little bumps, which are clogged pores. to help with that, i'm currently using Paula's Choice 2% BHA liquid and it helps a lot.

i dont think your bp should be a problem. you really wont know until you take spiro and see how you react. 50 mg spiro is a fairly low dose. if you find a doctor who will prescribe it, you can always start out slow with 25 mg, and increase the dosage as needed.

cleanser, rinse, apply mask until dry, rinse, toner, then moisturizer. but i agree that you could skip the toner if you wanted, since it might make your skin too dry or possibly irritated.

try Alpha Hydrox 12% AHA Souffle. you can find it at walgreens. its strong stuff, stings a little, and may make your skin flaky for a few weeks, but it works. i've been using it for one month and almost all of my red marks are gone. i dont even have to wear foundation anymore.
