    similarities between "War of the Worlds" and "The Time Machine"?

    I'm not exactly sure about this (because I read those books a long time ago), but: Aren't they both in the same time period and both set in England/European countries? Oh, and one thing I'm sure about is that they both have mythical creatures in them.
