I'll mostly need it to get from Waikiki to UH and then probably to other beaches fairly close to the Waikiki area.

I just want to get a cheap bike to ride to class and what not around the city. I've seen some decent mountain bikes at Walmart for like $120. I don't really like those bikes with the curved handles and thin wheels, but are those better for street riding? Would a mountain bike be ok?

It looks like its roughly 2 miles, which seems super easy. I can skateboard 3 miles in like 15-20 minutes, so a bike should be even faster.
