It rained for a while this morning, and its been overcast all day. Do you think it will even pay to go out on a day like this?

I am planning on going for largemouth bass as well as catfish, and am wondering how strong of line I should get. I've heard people talking about how it takes stronger line than just a 4 or 6 lb. test to pull those bass out of the vegetation. Your recommendation? Thanks.
