Is a humidifier sufficient? How do I position the violin? Should it be enclosed in a trunk? Thanks! Also, where might I purchase a humidifier?

I have a Subaru Forester, which is great since it has all wheel drive--I need this since I live out in the country and it snows a lot up here for 3 months. However, my Subaru only gets 22-23 mpg on the highway (or less!) and about 16-17 in the city. it is a 1998 with 130,000 miles on it...
