my phone is pay as you go but its broken so my friend has an old blackerry she said i can try it... but theres no sim card. do i have to buy the sim card from the same company she bought it from? and do they all have pay as you go options for a blackberry? like rogers or telus...

I have a motorola razr pay as you go phone but its broken... can i transfer my number to my friend's old blackberry and keep using it as a pay as you go phone? (virgin mobile)... but her blackberry has a chip and pay as you go doesnt.. and could i use it without a chip?
