I just purchased an unlocked iphone and ever since I updated the software on iTunes I do not have service and I cannot make phone calls.. Please help!

I just purchased an unlocked iphone and everytime someone calls me, I cant hear them but they can hear me.. I can only hear them if I put the phone on speaker..
