Is it better to get a good deal on a Droid now or wait until January or February and get an updated Droid with 4G and other features?

I'd prefer a smart phone that has both the touch screen and QWERTY keyboard but it's not a must.

What is the best smart phone that T-Mobile carries? I currently have the Blackberry Curve which is pretty much worthless and I don't know if this is typical of Blackberry phones but I want something that actually does what it says it will do this time.
