Scan them. Photographing them can distort the image. Btw, make your sure set the resolution of your scanner to the highest it will allow.

Lets get one thing straight: the photos will be looked at by the person enlarging them. You can get them done anywhere (legally) as far as I know. If I were you I'd go to a pro camera shop though as opposed to a Pharmacy or Walmart.
