...or wireless router? I have a windows 7 laptop with a cricket broadband modem and no ethernet cable or wireless router, can i connect to xbox live??

i just keep getting the message that i cant obtain the IP address from my modem and that i can try a static IP address instead. Is there a way to have my laptop send a IP address to my xbox or do i have to manually assign a static IP address?? if so how do i do this? please help, im lost! lol
