I had the bike sitting out in the garage over the summer and I finally took it out and went for a ride, when i stop to pump gas it didn't want to crank again so I got a jump from a car, I took the battery out when i got home and it didn't have any water in the battery so i filled it to the line...

The other day the tire cross fell on the battery and my battery is located on the back in my trunk and cause the negative battery cable to burn I was wondering if I could just change it out or just black tape the whole thing, and how to go about doing so.
