I'd go with the Milestone. You've seen the arguments, and I'll agree the screen is great, the browser and camera are much better. But the real reason may be apps. Simply put, BlackBerry App World isn't that good. It has just a few thousand apps, and RIM can't claim quality over quantity...

i think the keypad backlight is controlled via ambient light sensor and screen brightness. May be you were on low battery so the phone was saving battery or the ambient light sensor was fooled . Btw , are you talking about RAM Or internal memory ?
