The plan and the phone number is attached to the simcard and not the phone so if you were to switch the simcard to another phone - your number and plan will get switched too since it's attached to the simcard. Hope this helps.

Yes that's true - you can download more games for a symbian based phone compared to phones that use propriety platforms.

Your phone does support J2ME apps (java) i think the reason why this message keeps popping up because you either have a corrupt insatllar file OR you are trying to install (.jad) instead of (.Jar). And if this is not the case then update the firmware or restore the phone back to factory settings!
