    Tuning heavy gauge strings to standard tuning question?

    I was wondering if it's possible to tune heavy gauge strings (012 016 024w 032w 042w 052w) to standard tuning on a Les Paul studio ? Also i heard that your guitar neck will also start to bend. Is that true?
